Scooby-Doo Where Are You?
Volume 4 Spooked Bayou

Scooby-Doo, Shaggy, Velma
Daphne, Fred
4 Episodes 1 DVD
Warner Home Video 2010

Spooked Bayou, Volume 4 of Scooby-Doo Where Are You features 4 episodes of the original Scooby Doo cartoon on 1 DVD. This release is mostly for casual fans of this 1969 -72 Hanna Barbera cartoon as more serious fans will probably opt for The Complete Series packaged in a Mystery Machine shaped box or perhaps a complete season set. This Scooby-Doo DVD includes a bonus episode from the Shaggy & Scooby Get A Clue series.

The 4 episodes on Scooby-Doo Where Are You Volume 4 Spooked Bayou are Which Witch is Which?     Go Away, Ghost Ship, Spooky Space Kook, and A Night of Fright is No Delight. The Witch and Fright episodes are not as good as Ghost Ship and Space Kook.

In Which Witch is Which Scooby, Shaggy and the gang investigate a mysterious witch in swamp country. It turns out the witch and her zombie are really two criminals in disguised trying to scare people away from their loot. A Ghost Ship is hijacking the goods off various cargo ships and John, Velma, Daphne and the gang decide to look into it. It turns out the ghost pirate is a bad guy in disguise trying to conceal his crime.

Spooky Space Kook a weird robot-looking space alien is scaring people away from a deserted airfield. This time the criminal is not wearing a rubber face to scare people away from where the loot is hidden but for another nefarious reason.

A Night of Fright Is No Delight is the old spend one night in the haunted house to inherit the weird uncle's fortune. It's not bad but not particularly good either.

The bonus feature is Lightning Strikes Twice, an episode from the much more recent and futuristic Shaggy & Scooby-Doo Get A Clue 8-episode series. Those of us who grew up with the original series will need a minute or so to adapt to this cartoon s style.  Daphne, Velma, and John are replaced by a robot named Robi.
