Part of the seasonal line-up on The Comedy Network includes the 2008 A Muppet Christmas: Letters to Santa. It airs Saturday December 18th at 5. This is a Christmas special the whole family can enjoy. The kids will enjoy the Muppets and the easy to follow story and adults will enjoy the odd reference to things like The Sopranos and some very clever verbal jokes here and there. This one could become a family favorite.

This show's only weak point is the songs. You know you are in trouble when your Christmas songs include one that praises the "always cheerful in the ways they serve us" postal workers. The other tunes are not better. It does not help that the lead singer is Gonzo the Great.

In A Muppet Christmas Letters to Santa Gonzo forgets to mail three letters to Saint Nick. While the other Muppets go on their planned Caribbean vacation Kermit, Fozzie, Gonzo, a rat and a cockroach or something like that decide to go to the North Pole and deliver the letters by hand. Of course, things are not that simple and they have a few adventures.

Just about every Muppet has a small role in this Christmas special including the Swedish Chef who wears a false mustache to work in an Italian restaurant. Human celebrities include Uma Thurman, Nathan Lane, Whoopi Goldberg, and Law and Order Jesse L Martin who is not really good at lip synching.

This is a Christmas show even parents can enjoy.
