The Complete History of the San Francisco 49ers; a title very similar to the neighboring Oakland team, with a fairly similar history. Like the Raiders the 49ers seem to want to make the bad thoughts go away by thinking of their heydays in the 80’s.

If you look at both teams histories you would immediately think the 49ers are the better team, and you would be right. Take your pick; almost 100 more wins, 2 more Super Bowl championships or having a perfect 5-0 record in Super Bowl play. The 49ers have also had one of the greatest quarterback legacies in football history.
From Y.A Tittle to Jeff Garcia, the key to 49er success has always been terrific quarterback play. The film does a very good job of building the 49ers legacy with many extras such as stories on certain quarterbacks but also directly links them to the franchises success in the main film.

The 49ers are easily one of the most successful teams in football history, and the people in the film seem to enjoy reminding you of this. The 49ers aren’t like their “friends” the Raiders (who seem to live in despair) the 49ers like to look on the bright side of life. Both teams are currently in a down swing from there glory days. Unlike the Raiders (who seem to have forgotten this is happening) the 49ers are saying things like; we hope Alex Smith can continue the line of quarterbacks or maybe Mike Nolan will be the next Bill Walsh.

All things considered, the 49ers history is a very good documentary for a football fan, but not as good as the Raiders because of the length and how humorous the Raiders could be with their winnings, as opposed to the optimism, and honestly fairly bland happiness of the 49ers. The 49ers History is still very good, but the Raiders history was better all around.
