The Chronicles of Narnia - Prince Caspian
Ben Barnes, Sergio Castellitto, William Moseley
Directed by Andrew Adamson
Walt Disney Video 2008
149 minutes

In my opinion, kid’s movies keep getting better and better and more enjoyable for the whole family. Such is the case with the second DVD in C.S. Lewis’ The Chronicles of Narnia - Prince Caspian.

It has been one year since the four Pevensie children discovered the magical land of Narnia in the upstairs wardrobe. Unfortunately, since their return to our world where they are all no longer kings and queens, they have had a great deal of trouble adapting to everyday life in England.

To their surprise they are once again plunged into the magical world, only to find that there, not one year has passed, but one thousand years. Consequently, all the people they knew have passed away and the palace they lived in is now in ruins. They quickly find out that all of Narnia’s magical creatures have been forced into hiding among the woods by the evil King Miraz (Sergio Castellitto), and have since been forgotten by men and are considered myths.

Meanwhile, an alliance has been formed by the rightful heir to the throne, Prince Caspian, which the king believes dead. Together, Prince Caspian (Ben Barnes), the Pevensies, and all of the magical creatures of Narnia must fight to once again save the land of Narnia.

Prince Caspian, the second DVD  in the Chronicles of Narnia, is even better than The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. It features more action and more magic than the previous movie. Andrew Adamson, the director of Shrek and the first Narnia film, does an incredible job of bringing an imaginary land and its characters to life in a way that even the author, C.S. Lewis, would have never thought possible but would have loved.

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian is an incredible film with an incredible story. can be enjoyed by people of all ages. It will bring out the kid in you and make you believe in magical lands that are beyond your imagination.
