Terminator Salvation The Machinima Series is basically an RPG shooter game you do not control. In the six thirteen-minute episodes on this DVD Blair Williams is a resistance fighter in the Terminator world. The show begins with a fight and then flashes back to three days before when Blair was sent to find the Ghost, someone or something that is disrupting the resistance’s communications. There’s a whole bunch of shooting and stuff exploding.
The bigger the HDTV, the more obvious the glitches –especially around the faces-- in the Terminator Saltavion Machinima Series DVD. It doesn’t take that much away from enjoying this latest installment in the Terminator series but it is noticeable at times. Another flaw is the tracer bullets that often seem to go right through the characters without them being hit. That said, and if you enjoy video game style animation, this is fun testosterone stuff
Ghost turns out to be a human named Lars who is trying to hack into Skynet. Blair decides to bring Lars to Command. More shooting and stuff exploding. Getting Lars aka Ghost to Command proves difficult and involves more shooting and stuff exploding. It does allow for some expository dialogue on what exactly Lars is doing.
The pickup point keeps changing so Blair and Lars have to keep moving and shooting stuff. You do wonder why Blair is taking lead when she does not trust her semi prisoner. By episode 4 of Terminator Salvation the Machinima Series you really look forward to more than just moving and shooting.
Terminator Salvation The Machinima Series is interesting enough but not the kind of thing you keep around unless you are a total Terminator fan.
